Position Summary:Joining our Laboratory Services Department at Plaza Del Sol Health Center, the Phlebotomist (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) will provide Bilingual Spanish/English diagnostic evaluations and treatments. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Minimum Qualifications:Nationally Certified Phlebotomy Technician, required.
Bilingual Spanish/English, required.
High School Diploma, required.
0-1 year of related phlebotomy experience highly preferred.
Understanding of safety rules and regulations.
Flexible work schedule required.
Key Duties:Performs laboratory tests as ordered by provider.
Draws blood, collects specimens, and transmits orders.
Prepares specimens for pickup, in accordance with National Patient Safety guidelines.
Utilizes appropriate needle precautions.
*Ensures appropriate OSHA standards.

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:Position will be based out of our Corona, Queens Family Health Center, Plaza Del Sol. This position will require flexibility to train in our Bronx based flagship Family Health Center; El Nuevo San Juan in the beginning of employment with a schedule of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Once training is completing, departmental schedule will commence and will be to work Tuesday-Thursday 7am-4:30pm and every Saturday 7am-1:30pm.
