Position Summary:We are currently hiring a temporary Bilingual (English/Spanish) full time Medical Assistant to work in our School-based health center.
Key Duties:Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
Completes referrals and discharges patients.
Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
*Assist provider with treatments.
Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma required.
Minimum of 1-2 years of related clinical experience required.
Certification as a Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant/Registered Medical Assistant (CCMA), required.
National Phlebotomy Certificate, preferred.
Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred.
Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients.
Understanding of medical terminology, computer skills, and multi-tasking.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Starting Compensation: Minimum: $21.00/hour; Maximum: $21.00/hour
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:Onsite in Elmhurst, Queens, 40-hour shift Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
