Call Center Associate I (Bilingual English/Spanish)

Position Summary:The Call Center Associate I will join our Bronx-Based call center team in order to support the operations of our various health centers. The incumbent must have the drive and ambition to work effectively in a fast paced and service-driven team. We are seeking customer service professionals with a passion for community based health care. Although remote, position requires some monthly onsite needs including training and meetings that are held in the Bronx- with this in mind, applicants must reside locally to the New York City market. While company equipment will be furnished- incumbents must possess a desk space and area from home that is suitable for work without distractions and a desk that is able to securely fit dual monitor screens/computer/other hardware. Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required. This position is entry level, training provided. Bilingual Spanish/English required. Exceptional customer service skills. Computer proficiency is a must. Self-motivation and commitment to EXCELLENCE. *RELIABILITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Key Duties:Answers high volume telephone calls, schedules medical appointments, and relays messages according to the organization communication standards. Responds to and resolves patient requests/concerns. Refers clinical questions to medical providers. Ensures confidentiality at all times in compliance with HIPAA and PHI guidelines. Update existing patient demographic information. Confirms insurance when necessary. Completes rescheduling, canceling, and/or verifying patient's appointments as needed. Exhibits "WE CARE" performance standards in accordance with Urban Health Plan's Operating Credo.

Starting Compensation: Minimum $18.00 Maximum $18.00/hour ($37,440/annum).
