Pay Rate: $19.23/hour

Reports To: Shift Supervisor / Director of Operations
Position Summary
The Residential Aide supports the safety, security, and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors within the residential facility. This position assists with monitoring facility operations, maintaining a safe environment, documenting activities and incidents, and supporting residents in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Monitor residents, residential units, and facility grounds to promote a safe and secure environment.
Enforce facility rules, policies, and procedures in a professional and respectful manner.
Complete required documentation, including communication logs, incident reports, resident whereabouts, and other program records.
Respond to resident questions and concerns and refer issues to appropriate staff as needed.
Inspect items entering the facility in accordance with organizational safety and security procedures.
Monitor security cameras and common areas as assigned.
Follow all safety, health, emergency preparedness, and fire prevention procedures.
Conduct scheduled facility rounds and document observations.
Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, incidents, and emergencies to supervisory staff promptly.
Collaborate with security personnel and other staff to maintain a safe environment for residents and employees.
Prepare vacant units for occupancy, including cleaning, organizing, and handling resident belongings in accordance with program procedures.
Document incidents, actions taken, and outcomes accurately and objectively.
Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by program needs.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and interact respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and respond appropriately in routine and emergency situations.
Ability to complete required documentation accurately and timely.
Knowledge of confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA regulations, or ability to learn and apply such requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a residential, shelter, social services, behavioral health, or human services setting.
Experience with incident reporting and documentation.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
Required Qualifications
F-02 Certificate of Fitness.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Physical Requirements
Ability to move throughout the facility, including stairways and multiple floors, as needed.
Ability to conduct facility rounds and respond to emergencies.
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move items consistent with operational needs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a residential shelter and office environment
Position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts
May involve responding to urgent situations outside of standard working hours
