Position summary:We are currently hiring a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our Dental Department at El Nuevo San Juan (ENSJ) in the Bronx. The Patient Service Presentative provides information, support, encouragement, and assistance to patients as they arrive at the health care facility. This role greets and registers patients and visitors, verifies and records patient information, and provides comfort and empathy to patients while maintaining the waiting room. This role provides accurate and consistent information to patients, schedule appointments, and resolves patient concerns. Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma required Minimum of 1 year of experience with clerical/administrative functions is required, ideally in a health care setting. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients. Understanding of phone etiquette and standard office procedures.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Team player Key Duties: Greeting patients and identifying their needs. Verifies insurance information through managed care website. Answers incoming calls and takes messages for providers. Register patients, checks demographics, assign dental provider, check, updates information as needed. Schedules appointment and reschedules no shows appointments and recalls patients for required services *Helps to maintain charts and provide administrative support to the department. Compensation: $19.50 per hour based on 40 hours per week ($40,560 annualized). Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:Candidates must be available to work onsite based in our Southern Boulevard Health Center. Candidates must have availability to work Tuesday through Saturday 8am-5pm/9am-6pm OR Monday through Friday 8am-5pm/9am-6pm with rotating Saturdays (and day off during week).
